I am the contributing editor of the Rough Guide to Climate Change, which was shortlisted for Science Book of the Year in 2007. The third edition came out in early 2011.

Lighter Later

I was one of the team that set up Lighter Later, the campaign to change the UK’s clocks to create social and environmental benefits.

I was a consultant and writer for this major project, which ran in 2008 before BBC Worldwide appeared to decide that it overstepped their remit.

The Manchester Report

I co-ran a major public event at the Manchester Festival focusing on large-scale solutions to climate change and wrote the subsequent report.

Just My Type

I love typography and design and had thought about writing a book about fonts. In the end I commissioned Simon Garfield to do it for Profile instead, and it was a big hit in 2010.
